Very nice brand new hotel!
Better signage required to find the place... Nobody was at the bar to serve a drink.

Amazing refurbishment on a 13th century castle. Great restaurant with an amazing wine list. Beautiful little gem.

As a senior woman, I absolutely adored my stay at this stunning castle. The decoration and ambiance throughout the hotel transported me back in time, with beautiful medieval double-arched windows and enchanting frescoes. The general areas were impeccably maintained and accessible for senior guests, allowing me to move around comfortably. It was a delight to explore the castle and soak in the rich history and architectural beauty.
I wish the children working there had been more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

The room at Castello Visconteo made me feel right at home. It had a cozy and warm atmosphere with a touch of history that I absolutely loved.
The bathroom was a bit small for my liking, but others might find it just right.

Stunning is the first word that springs to mind. Excellent staff, very clean room and good breakfast. If this hotel was in a bigger city it would be commanding €500- per night. They have preserved as much of the old feeling as possible when turning an old castle into a modern hotel. Perfect place for a romantic getaway.
The village itself doesn't have much to offer. We did find an excellent and cheap restaurant (Batrachos) down by the river. Staff speak English and are very friendly.

Our vacay at the castle was legit lit! We hit up Leolandia and it was straight fire! The rides were mad crazy and we screamed our lungs out. Then we checked out the Prehistoric Park and felt like we were living in The Flintstones. It was dope AF! The castle itself was super dope too, with them elegant events and tailored experiences. So rad!
The only thing missing was a sick nightclub or party spot at the castle. We wanted to turn up and dance all night, but there wasn't a dedicated place for young party animals like us.

A magnificent reincarnation of a 500+ years old medieval castle. A triumph of Italian design merging modern with ancient but maintaining the original fabric and features of the building. We were told that the building works took over 10 years to complete. We arrived at 12.00 midnight on a Wednesday evening during the quiet season, but nonetheless a member of the reception staff and a porter stayed up to await our arrival.(We had notified them in advance that we would be arriving after a late flight.) Breakfast was served in a beautiful corner of the castle tower on the second floor with a fabulous view of the River Adda. We have no complaints about the hotel except that the lighting was so subdued in the bedroom that it was difficult to find things in the night.

What an incredible experience! From the moment we stepped foot into this majestic fortress, we were blown away by its rich history and stunning renovation. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The suite we stayed in was jaw-dropping, with its spacious layout and luxurious amenities. The breakfast selection was delicious and the beautiful grounds were immaculately maintained. We were pleasantly surprised by the convenient on-site parking and the helpfulness of the staff. The overall ambience of the place was mind-blowing, and we were in awe of the seamless combination of old-world charm and modern comforts. We can't wait to return and explore more of this incredible castle and its surrounding area.
